We're the last to... [07 Nov 2008|11:06pm]

doylescordy
I was thinking today, and realized, our graduating class were the last ones to enter highschool in the 1900s.

We're also probably the last age group who are old enough to have any memories from the 1980s.

Any more "we are the last to..." things you can think of?

Tell me about your dorm room experiences/expectations [11 May 2007|10:55am]

marciamarcia
My name is Maggie Koerth-Baker. I'm a reporter working with the Associated Press on a story about college dorm rooms, people's expectations about them, and what people do to make them feel more like home.

Here are some of the things I'm curious about: What your dorm came with when you moved in, what new accessory/furniture item you HAVE to have, crazy things you've done to make your dorm more livable, what your budget was and how that affected your dorm room decorating priorities, what things you thought you needed to buy...but really never used, and the things you never considered needing...but had to go buy later.

If you're interested in telling me a little more about your dorm experience or expectations, please drop me an email. You can reach me at maggie (dot) koerth (at) gmail (dot) com.

Thanks!

I'm in the process of consolidating and paying off my credit card debt. That said, I've opened an eBay store to sell a lot of my crap, especially books. PLEASE check it out and--if you find something appealing--spend money! It's for a good cause, I promise.

I'm feeling nostalgic, because today is a special anniversary for me. I graduated from high school on this very day... May 23, 2003.

Has it already been 3 years? Dang. This coming fall...Four years since we all started our senior year! 2002. Next year, it'll have been a half-decade...Time really flies.

Greetings fellow 03'ers, another new addition to the ranks. Let's begin some basics shall we ;)

Name's Darryl... and I'm 20. Came all the way from East TX, graduated from Huntington High School to be exact in Huntington, TX... but currently living in Northeastern Louisiana at the moment.

Just finished my 2nd year @ The University of Louisiana @ Monroe, and with boredom setting in during the 1st week of summer, and days off work... figured now was a good time to find communities to join and begin the posting frenzies in :)

*sigh* Seems much, much longer than 2 years... almost 5 everytime I kept looking, but only 2. Wow, doesn't time just fly?

Ending seems good for now... hope to hear from y'all soon :)

It's so weird thinking about the fact that it's been two years since we graduated from high school. I graduated on May 23, 2003...One month and three weeks til my two-year anniversary!

I seem to have graduated early on in the spring...Besides other people who might have finished school early (you know, finishing in January then taking part in the graduation ceremony at the end of the school year), is there anybody else here that graduated earlier than May 23rd? =)

Anyone married? [16 Dec 2004|08:20pm]

Has anyone in this community gotten married since graduation? Or become engaged? Teehee, I got married to another community member(veinsareviolent) on Dec. 2nd. They (whoever 'they' are) say that marriage is another step up to becoming a full-fledged adult, so yay?

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here. I graduated from high school in Richmond, Virginia. I know graduation was only a year and a half ago, but damn it feels like it was a lot longer ago than that. I just turned 19 on Aug. 10, and I am working on my computer science degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. It's nice to meet all of you(in advance)!

Saved by the Bell [19 Oct 2004|01:52pm]

[ mood | amused ]

Hey all I'm new.

I just thought I would share something that I thought was funny.

When I was little, and I would watch Saved by the Bell, there was this one episode where a new class finds a time capsule under the football field...and in the time capsule was a video from the original cast. They kept saying, "Hello to the class of 2003" and stuff like that, so the class that was watching it was obviously the class of 2003. At the time I didnt know that I was even the class of 2003 cuz I was like 8, but I remember that I used to wish that I was the class of 2003 just so I could be special lol. Then I realized it, and I always thought it was cool...well I mean when I was younger.

Anyway, I know thats really corny, but I figured that everyone used to watch Saved by the Bell and someone would find it amusing lol.
